When you find a possible piece of relevant information always corroborate it with a separate piece of supportive data.

The main Mormon database for family history. Includes International Genealogical Index (I.G.I.) and British 1881 Census.
Database of sources of information for genaelogy and local history in the UK - record offices, libraries, societies, maps etc.
Public Record Office website which includes the Family record Centre and census registration districts. Also has an online catalogue and a good 'Quick Start on Genealogy' section.

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission provides details of Commonwealth soldiers, sailors and airmen who died during the two world warsand where they are buried. Also has details of 60,000 civillian casualties of the Second World War.
